The White House wants to draw out the legal battle over Don McGahn's testimony as long as possible.
While we wait, here are just some of the witnesses the House could call to investigate whether Trump committed impeachable offenses:

Donald Trump Jr. is a no-brainer. Not only was he part of collusion during the campaign, he never worked in the White House and therefore can’t invoke executive privilege—plus, he, like his dad, refused to let Mueller interview him.

Michael Cohen was part of Trump’s misconduct going back more than a decade, including the efforts to develop Trump Tower Moscow and hide information about Trump’s affairs during the campaign. He's basically an expert on how Trump runs his cover-ups. themoscowproject.org/memos/recommen…
Paul Manafort and Rick Gates shared internal polling data and campaign strategy with an alleged Russian spy while running Trump’s campaign. Manafort’s been famously shifty about talking to the authorities—but Gates has shown he’s willing to testify. themoscowproject.org/memos/recommen…
Carter Page was a target for Russian spies years before he joined the campaign. While he was advising Trump, he took a trip to Moscow, where he met with high-ranking Russian officials and talked about the election. themoscowproject.org/memos/recommen…
Erik Prince flew all the way to the Seychelles to meet with the head of a sanctioned Russian state-owned investment fund as a representative of the Trump transition team. He’s already been criminally referred to the DOJ for lying to the House about it. themoscowproject.org/memos/recommen…
Roger Stone’s been indicted for lying to Congress about the secret backchannel he developed between the campaign and WikiLeaks—which he repeatedly bragged about during the election. He’s also been one of Trump’s longest-time political advisers. themoscowproject.org/memos/recommen…
George Papadopoulos was the first person on Trump's team to learn that Russia planned to anonymously publish emails stolen from the Clinton campaign. Congress might also be interested in his repeated efforts to get Trump to visit Russia while campaigning.

Felix Sater was Trump’s man in Russia for more than a decade—including on the Moscow project. He missed his previously scheduled testimony because he overslept, but he’s been telling anyone who will listen what he knows about Trump for a while now. themoscowproject.org/memos/recommen…
Corey Lewandowski was Trump’s first campaign chairman, and was looped into numerous internal conversations about contacts with Russia. He also acted as an intermediary in one of Trump’s efforts to get Jeff Sessions to rein in the Russia investigation. themoscowproject.org/memos/recommen…
Tom Barrack is a former business partner who ran Trump’s inaugural committee, which took money from a pro-Kremlin oligarch. He also convinced Trump to hire Manafort and sent drafts of Trump speeches to foreign government officials for edits. themoscowproject.org/memos/recommen…
Those are just some of the big ones who never worked for the administration and therefore can’t invoke executive privilege. There are literally dozens more, from J.D. Gordon and Jerome Corsi to Jared Kushner and Mike Flynn. Check out the whole list here: themoscowproject.org/memos/recommen…
