@ewarren In the 80's, Warren wrote that utility companies were over-regulated and the arguments of consumer advocates were "fallacious." Note that, in this week's #CNN climate forum, Warren continues to reject public ownership of utilities, even in the fact of the #ClimateEmergency.

@ewarren The paper was so shockingly pro-utility that it was "awesome." This, together with its "lack of presentation of the consumer viewpoint" and "conclusions without any analysis of actual facts."

@ewarren Warren's views evolved in the 80's through a study of bankruptcy filings and her discovery that people weren't filing because they were lazy but because of a gamed system. Well & good. But that didn't stop her from remaining a Republican for another 15 years, into the late 90's.

@ewarren This was a time of the "war on drugs," "welfare queens," Iran-Contra, Reagan's paramilitary wars in Central America, massive tax giveaways to the rich and defense build-up, Savings & Loan scandal, rollbacks of environmental and financial regs. Did Warren not notice or not care?

@ewarren Millions of people DID notice, DID care, DID protest. So I'm sorry, the excuse that she "wasn't politically active" not only is not true -as we've seen- it's a sorry excuse for someone who aspires to be President.
