Insurance Companies frequently send letters out informing patients that they will not any longer cover medications that I prescribe. It appears that they are targeting #Independent #Doctors that they cannot #Control.
Are there any other doctors that see this pattern? Why on Earth would I remove meds from patients that are doing so well & have no side effects? It would be against my medical oath of "do no harm."
Read the letter they sent to me. CVS writes: " CVS Caremark wants to help your patients stay adherent to their medication therapy." Really? So you discontinue coverage for patients that are doing so well & make them pay for it completely themselves, & you claim you wish to help?

The thread below aims to widen the discussion on #slaintecare & the #DeBuitléir report. Some commentary from very respected journalists and doctors have argued that the public system cannot afford €626m p.a to remove private care from public hospitals.
Others have argued they do not trust the State and our public system could be gutted.

I think we need to consider a much broader perspective about the inter-play between public- and private-, payers and providers. Then see who the status quo benefits.
1. Hospital providers in Ireland: I cannot summarise everything and would do a bad job at it- suffice to say they this is an apples and oranges situation. Sick & acute v less sick & elective.

My company was raided. It should have been a straightforward matter. But the #MetPolice & #LBRUT forgot to seize my computer & came back to do a 2nd raid. The search warrant didn't permit a second entry, however, #LBRUT entered unlawfully

Complaints were then made to my MP #VinceCable. He liaised with the #Metpolice & #LBRUT. And then weeks later, the search warrant was completely changed & was passed off as the search warrant executed on the day of the raids.
