This morning has been a comedy of errors. I had to deal w/ MRA dude on the elevator down to breakfast. Hotel is under construction so I got turned around. Finally found lobby and there is no where to sit to eat, totally full. I go back to my room to order room service. It’s 10am.
I order room service. Breakfast tacos with a side of bacon. They say it will be 30 min. I check email, get out my professional outfit, tweet things. 45 min later. No food. I have to meet folks for my first things today at 11:30. It’s 10:45.
I call. They said it will be there any minute. Ten min later, no food. I call again, very hungry & getting panicked because I haven’t done makeup since I haven’t eaten. 10:55am.
I call again. They apparently had the wrong room number. She says they will bring it now and not charge me. 11:01 I hear knocking. The delivery person is knocking next door. I was like, is that my breakfast tacos? He was like “I think so?”
He sets the tray inside & leaves. I open the cover. Breakfast tacos are cold and there’s no bacon. I call. Again. They apologize and say it’s coming right up.
11:05. Bacon arrives. I’m eating now as I tweet this & just realized they didn’t include silverware to eat the fruit that came with the (cold) breakfast tacos. I have ~20 min to eat this shitty breakfast w/ my hands, put on makeup, get dressed and go be professional. Send magic.
