Corey Lewandowski jumped to President Trump's defense on Tuesday during his testimony before the House Judiciary Committee, blasting "Trump haters" and making it clear he will not answer questions the White House wants him to avoid.

Lewandiwski took aim at Democrats and former special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation in his opening statement, describing the probes as "harassment" while alleging that some critics sought to bring down the president.

"Sadly, the country spent over three years and 40 million taxpayer dollars on these investigations. It is now clear the investigation was populated by many Trump haters who had their own agenda — to try and take down a duly elected president of the United States" Lewandowski said

"As for actual 'collusion,' or 'conspiracy,' there was none. What there has been, however, is harassment of the president from the day he won the election," he continued.

The committee hearing quickly descended into chaos as Chairman @RepJerryNadler sought to question Lewandowski.

How DARE he?!?!?!!

Lewandowski first insisted that Nadler provide a copy of the Mueller report so that he could follow along with the passages as Democrats read them.

Nadler said in his opening remarks that Democrats will not accept (correctly asserted) WH privilege limitations for Lewandowski, who they say was part of the (ALLEGED, @thehill!) president's efforts to block Mueller's probe into possible obstruction.

And they blasted the White House seeking to block his testimony that extends beyond the Mueller report under the claims of that his discussions with Trump fall under executive branch confidentiality interests.

Why? Because they DO?

FLASHBACK 2012:

“@RepCummings, the ranking Democrat on Issa's panel, told CNN that the [Eric Holder] contempt hearings were only meant to "embarrass the president."

At the panel's proceedings, he blasted Issa for politicizing the hearings and disrespecting Holder.

"For the past year, you've been holding the attorney general to an impossible standard. You accused him of a cover-up for protecting [Fast and Furious] documents that he is prohibited from providing," Cummings said.

"In all of 30 years of being in the United States Congress the way that [Holder] was treated when he was here testifying before this committee, I must admit I've never seen anybody treated in that fashion," said Rep @EdTowns

After a meeting with Issa on Tuesday night, Holder told reporters the chairman [Issa] was consumed with "political gamesmanship."

(As an aside: “Obama repeatedly has said he did not know about the tactics used in Fast and Furious and plans to hold the people who authorized them responsible.”

Did he know? Yes.

Guess what? So did... Robert Mueller. So did Holder. So did many others at the “top.”)
