So. This is difficult. Sorry for the long post. It’s the longest I’ve ever made. I’m Jason. I have Autosomal Dominant Polycystic Kidney Disease. Do NOT Google unless you have a strong stomach. I’m at Stage 5 kidney failure (last stage) and I am currently on hemodialysis.

My disease manifests in massive collections of cysts that cover both kidneys interfering with their function. My particular flavor of the disease has also given me kidney stones. I have passed 76 (you read that right, seventy-six) in the past 8 years.

I have been blessed enough for 2 wonderful people (that I was not related to and barely knew) to offer and turn out to be a genetic match for kidney donors.

Unfortunately, the first was disqualified in June (after 8 months of testing) and the second yesterday. My family and I are crushed. So here’s the hard part... I need a hero. Both of these women that offered of themselves will forever be our heroes, but I need one more.

I know what I ask is a monumental undertaking, but I’m asking. I will tag a lot of people in this, some barely know me, some know me well, others will never have heard of me. Some are famous and well-known that I follow for one reason or another.

I am not trying to annoy anyone, but my family and I are desperate.

Retweets, likes, thoughts, prayers, donations (there is a GoFundMe for our massive medical bills) all are welcome, but most hopefully for some amazing person out there to choose to be a hero and give life to someone they don’t even know.

I’ve probably missed some people (hard to believe, I know), but I’m exhausted. Writing all this has been really draining. Thank you to everyone who actually read some of this rambling mess.
