If someone agreed or promised to make available for /interrogation/assassination the Russian spy living in DC. Presumably, sources, methods and Intel would be exposed if Russia got had gotten to this person. It would be extremely damaging to #NatSec of country.
Somehow between the time that the #WhistleblowerComplaint was due to Congress (9/2/19) + tip to media about Russian spy (9/10/19), spy was off the grid. If DoJ caught wind that assets whereabouts had been divulged or would be, protecting spy would protect the person that outed.

It’s not hard to imagine Russia has been on a housekeeping mission in past 2 years. Also not hard to believe Trump would give a spy up to Putin as a small favor/payment, also not hard to imagine this would be an epic act of treason that would be reported.

It is also could be what pushed Coats and Gordon past their breaking point triggering the #WhistleblowerComplaint protocol. That Trumps call to Putin was on 7/31 and Coats 7/28 resignation letter don’t reconcile in terms of sequence/

We also know that Barr covers for Trump w/o fail. If DoJ secured the spy from Russia’s arm as a result of #Whistleblower complaint getting to them, it would explain why IG deemed it urgent and credible only to have DoJ/Barr contest this characterization.
