5. Publicly Facebook claims to be fighting misinformation, particularly as it relates to politics and elections.

But this policy means Facebook will be PROFITING from misinfo ahead of 2020.

These were all NEW allegations, separate from the two dozen women who had already spoken publicly.

It's been printed in the Washington Post and CNN, among others.

IT IS ALSO NOT TRUE
3. Now lets dive in. Until Late-September 2019 Facebook's ad policies contained a BLANKET PROHIBITION on "deceptive, false, or misleading" content.

No mention of any exceptions. Not limited to things debunked by fact-checkers

False or misleading content was banned.

Rudy Giuliani, Trump's personal attorney, was paid hundreds of thousands of dollars by A COMPANY NAMED FRAUD GUARANTEE

The owners of the company were arrested Wednesday at the airport with one-way tickets to Vienna

Giuliani was scheduled to fly there the next day
The owners of "Fraud Guarantee," Lev Parnas and Igor Fruman, ALSO WORKED ON BEHALF OF PRESIDENT TRUMP.

How do we know?

Their attorney, John Dowd (who used to work for Trump at the White House) told Congress last week
Putting together the pieces: there is evidence that Trump, Giuliani, Parnas, and Fruman were collaborating on an illegal scheme to pressure the Ukrainian gov't to help Trump's reelection

This morning, Donald Trump retweeted 53 accounts purporting to be "firefighters" who were planning to support him over Biden.

Out of curiosity, I ran those 53 accounts through @BotSentinel to find out how credible they were.

Here are the takeaways...
...Of the 53 "firefighter" accounts, based solely on their bot-like qualities...

- 10 were "ALARMING"
- 21 were "PROBLEMATIC"
- 13 were "MODERATE"
- 9 were "NORMAL"

The average score for ALL of the accounts promoted by Trump today was 51%, which is considered "PROBLEMATIC"...
...Furthermore, a dozen of the accounts have no avatar or use a stock image as their profile picture. Additionally, several of the accounts do not list "firefighter" in their bio nor do they tweet about other firefighter-related content on their timelines...

Facebook will be taking down 559 pages and 251 accounts run by Americans, many of which amplified false and misleading content in a coordinated fashion ahead of the midterms: nytimes.com/2018/10/11/tec…
These sites include left wing pages with hundreds of thousands of followers, as well as huge right wing pages, such as Right Wing News (as of this morning, it had 3.1 million followers).
The reason Facebook is taking down the pages is that they violated the companies terms of service by using fake accounts, and having multiple pages. (these were rules created to stop spam).

(2) This question is crucial to determining whether those in the White House deliberately ignored security warnings and instead politically decided to retain Porter.
