We learned today that one serving State Dept. official described Trump’s scheme to pressure Ukraine in text messages as “withhold[ing] security assistance for help with a political campaign.”

One of the worst things about this is one GOP Senator has said he would be extremely concerned less than two weeks ago. All he had to do was follow his own stated principle.
