At the first protest I ever held a young anarchist came up to me and offered to be my security. He stuck by my side for a week, never leaving the protest. When PPB beat my partner at another protest, he was the only participant who came to the hospital. He was murdered yesterday.
We don’t know everything but he was run down outside of cider riot, a frequent hang out spot for antifascists and a previous target of right wing violence. I am deeply saddened. It’s a loss for our entire community.
He showed up. For everything. For everyone. From occupy to BLM. I had him on my show on @KBOO once, I’ll see if I can find the interview. This hurts.

@tedwheeler began his campaign today by soliciting illegal donations. In 2018 measure 26-200 was passed by Portland voters with 88% of the vote and limits contributions to $500 dollars. His website is soliciting illegal donations as I type this. portlandoregon.gov/auditor/articl…
So there are a couple options here:
1. Wheeler is unaware of the law (incompetent).
2. Wheeler is assuming everyone is unaware of the law (arrogant).
3. Wheeler does not care what his voters want and is hoping the supreme court overturns the measure (undeserving of your vote).
This comes from a mayor who has been funded by Pepsi, Nike, McDonald's, and Gordon frickin' Sondland. We have just begun the scandal over Sondland's massive (now illegal) donations to Wheeler and he begins his campaign with this?

He starts, in typical fashion, by taking credit for the hard work of community members in working to slow the impact of our housing crisis that he has failed to act on. To be clear, the housing bond was not Ted Wheeler's doing. Obviously.
Next, he notes his self-appointed status as a climate champion due to his work to ban plastic straws. Yet, he opposed the clean energy fund, stonewalled climate activists, allows bomb trains to flow through Portland, and refused the demands of youth organizers. Embarrassing.

When we saw that Gordon Sondland, the Portland businessman at the center of the Trump-Ukraine Scandal, had donated a lot of money to @tedwheeler's campaign for mayor, we had no idea how deep this Portland scandal would go. H/t to @coreypein for uncovering this. (Thread)
For those who do not know, Gordon Sondland donated 1 million dollars to Trump's inauguration and was subsequently appointed as the ambassador to the U.N. @washingtonpost says texts from Sondlad read like a "government-sanctioned shakedown". washingtonpost.com/national-secur…
@nytimes writes that Sondland, "was boasting on Ukrainian television that Mr. Trump had honored him with a “special assignment” — “overseeing” relations between the two countries “at the highest levels.” In short, Sondlad helped Trump subvert our democracy and shakedown Ukraine.

Seokjin tries hard.

He tries not to melt under the gaze of the people he is deceiving.

He tries not to show his anger nor speak his mind out when the tribune and the noble men express their scorn over the peasants and the laborers.

He tries to play his part as a royal until
he is asked to go home and finally become what he really is, a prince's mere aide.

He tries to catch up with the prince's lessons, learning how to read and write at an unsurmountable speed, pouring over books and scrolls day and night to display princely characteristics
And to prevent alarming anyone outside the family of their treachery.

"It's all an act," Seokjin reminds himself.

A daily reminder that he was in it for the safety of the royal family, not for his own sake.

Despite having the habit to talk and charm his guests to better cater their last needs,
