As @rafsanchez has correctly pointed out to me, the car from which she was dragged had multiple bullet holes. It is likely she was hit by them and died as a consequence of bullet wounds, rather than of stoning. For now the exact cause of death is unclear.
Well, Trump mentioned he will apply sanctions if Turkey’s leader Erdogan crosses the line. It seems like he did cross the lines in general. Now it should be a truly bipartisan move, I suppose. Let’s see.
