This is what really fucks me off about the WW2 agrarian self-sufficiency crap Brexit MPs throw about.

What do they think the Battle of the Atlantic was about?!

72,000 brave men of the merchant marine didn't die trying to bring us avocados and Argentinian Malbecs.
The WW2 agrarian nil locks takes the piss, and it UTTERLY disrespects and minimises the sacrifice of THOUSANDS of men they claim to venerate the glory of so much.

Yes. It's about who is perceived as the target. Blocking roads is a PASSIVE attract on public transport/commuters. They're collateral damage so can feel like a victim, not the target.

Targeting the Tube/DLR is an ACTIVE attack on PT users. Hence why they get angry.
Because they've done nothing wrong. They've already opted for the Greenest possible option (whether that was the motive or not) so feel punished for doing the right thing already.

Numerous bright & articulate anti no dealers come on telly and get attacked by brexit supporters (whether MPs, commentators or the public) for "blocking Brexit"

Why do they never shut this down with "but Brexit MPs voted to stop Brexit!"
2) the oversimplified view is "get #Brexit done"

The reality is - which brexit? Because brexiters can't decide on one

So May's deal was Brexit, it stopped free movement, it had the red lines

The ERG voted against it, they voted against Brexit
3) now as remainers we all know why the hard brexiters hate May's deal, and as a Remainer I hate it as well.

But the point is, it *was* Brexit, and the hard brexiters *did* vote against it, and if they hadn't, we'd have left by now

Negotiability with EU?

- practically zero. Would require massive EU u-turn on 'fully open' border in Ireland, Single market integrity. And to throw Ireland under bus politically.

- A border is a border, even if set back. Tech/exemptions cannot deliver.

1/3 What's going on with "Brave Browser", being heavily promoted on Brexiter channels? It claims to be a browser that blocks ads & website trackers. It tempts users with opportunities to earn "Basic Attention Tokens" (BAT) exchangeable for cyber-currency by watching ads...
2/3 It also seems to be funneling cash towards “Brexit MPs”. The US corporation behind it was founded by Brendan Eich, who resigned from Mozilla after it emerged he’d been funding the anti-same-sex marriage movement in California.

A majority in this parliament needs to get to 320. It's been repeated so often that it has become a truth—that there is a majority for a soft Brexit in parliament.

Here's why that's almost certainly not the case.

Let's start with the Labour Party (245 MPs).

Soft Brexit is the position of the leadership (see JC letter to TM 6/2).

But there are at least 60 strong backers of a people's vote in the PLP & maybe 5 who want a harder Brexit.

So Labour brings max 180 MPs to soft Brexit.

Well, Scotland voted to Remain, and yesterday Sturgeon said: "preferably asking for a longer extension to put the issue back to voters".

So don't count on any SNP support for soft Brexit

1) Thread - All Brexits are bad and what we voted for
It's often said by brexiters that "it's not all about economics"
However, the *actual* Leave campaign was almost wholly about economic arguments

With the leak of this 2-8% report those arguments are now trashed
2) We seem to have forgotten this however economics played a huge part in the Vote Leave campaign, making up over 2/3rds of the primary arguements. The clear message was we would at the least be no worse off and at best much better off. 4 of the 6 below state this clearly
3) & the fact is voters believed we would be no worse off. People prioritized immigration certainly, but against a backdrop of there being no consequences from Brexit - few are prepared to actually pay for ending FoM
