Fortune Muparutsa was the pioneer of the Zim urban sound. He grew with time & by the time of his death he was about to break into the international music scene after Akon loved his demo.
Here is a THREAD of his best singles

1 Wangu Ndega
Sangoma was another hit that we grew up listening to. It’s about a man who doesn’t know his father and now asks a Sangoma to advice him on how he can locate his father.

2 Sangoma
Another hit he made ,it’s a narration from when a child is born, all the joy and he grows until he dies. Some says musicians are prophetic cause this song feels like it was a tribute to his death.

3 Simbarashe
This song speaks about a relationship that has been strained or broken cause the other half is relocating to the diaspora. It’s common within our families due to different reasons ,school or work.

4 Kure Kwaunoenda
On this particular love song you can feel the transformation that he have made in his efforts to produce international quality sound. He is one of the greatest song writers.

5 Takasarudzana
By this time he knew nothing was gonna stop him from getting himself recognized internationally. He did this love song in all English lyrics, he was now looking beyond Zimbabwe. The production is exceptional.

6 How I look at you
This is the particular song that @Akon listened to & was ready to sign that “kid” .unfortunately we never got to hear our talented brother under the supervision of this music legend. He died in a mysterious way.
May his soul Rest In Peace
