Cassandra Fairbanks is defending Tulsi Gabbard against suggestions Russia is using her campaign to help Trump.

Fairbanks worked for Russian propaganda network Sputnik News in 2016. She was a Bernie supporter in the primaries, but oddly became a Trump supporter in the general. 👇🏻
The Mueller Report indicates Russia used social media to target pro-Sanders & anti-Clinton messages at Dem voters during the primaries (along with pro-Trump messages targeted at GOP primary voters), and went full anti-Clinton pro-Trump in the general. 2/ (These are Russian ads)
Russia targeted Dems in the general in swing states with pro-Jill Stein messages, too.

Anyway, even if Fairbanks (pictured w Roger Stone) didn't work for Russian propaganda & her views didn't suspiciously align with Kremlin's goals, her explanation here is ridiculous. 2/
Russia isn't interested in peaceniks. They're interested in supporting and pushing American pols who will advance their own geopolitical goals. Both Tulsi Gabbard and Donald Trump often align with those goals.

But Russia, anti-war? Ask Georgia, Ukraine or Syria. 3/
And regarding Syria, I mean not only in the sense that Russia is supporting Turkey's slaughter of the Kurds, but the fact that Russia bombed Syrian hospitals:
