As things stand this morning it seems govt probs numbers to get 2nd reading of Brexit bill thro, which is the very first basic step to get the debates started
But they may well NOT have the numbers to get MPs to back their 100mph timetable - not at all clear what they would do if that happens - what's the priority? Sticking to Johnson's deadline? Or trying to get this deal through smoothly?
If govt loses control of timetable it might lose control of the whole thing and end up losing or with something totally unrecognisable anyway... but some wobbly tories would hate something drastic like pulling it all today - let's see - votes not til this evening
