Here's the newest development re: my lovely dogs.
Environmental Health appeared on my doorstep, having received an anonymous complaint about the dogs. The complaint was apparently made on Saturday in the evening, around the time I caught my neighbour throwing stones at them.
The lady knocked on the door; my poodles barked when I let her in. They then ran up to her with wagging tails, wanting to be petted (this is what they do with all my guests).
The Environmental Health officer explained they'd received an anonymous complaint.
I told her everything.
1. The neighbour rattling our gate
2. Leaning over fence waving his arms
3. Throwing stones
All the time, one of my dogs lay at her feet, one on my lap, and the third kept rolling on her back asking for belly rubs.
The EH officer took one look at them and said there was no issue.
She said that they'd suspected the calls were malicious, and when I told her about the stone throwing incident, she replied that was when they received the complaint. Clearly someone wanted to get their story in first.
I truthfully answered her questions about the barking etc.
When she left, she told me my dogs were lovely, well cared for, clearly friendly, and that any further calls to Environmental Health would be told that they had investigated, and found no problems.
They only take action if the dogs are vicious, or incessantly barking.
I was in bits when she arrived. My dogs are friendly, loving, a little mischievous, and the thought of that bastard throwing stones at them upsets me so so much.
Needless to say, I'm now over the moon that she saw the complaints for what they were.
