Let's work our way through the #RiseofSkywalker trailer in slow-motion.

1) Lucasfilm logo w/animal noises. We hear two people either lock or un-lock their cars.
2) Cross-fade to a tree planet. Is this a return to Endor, or a fake-out to make you think they are mirroring EpVI?

1) Rey drops her helmet! For some reason, this will make a lot of unhappy men even angrier
2) Running with a lightsaber! Reckless.
3) Is that the cute droid from Mos Eisley Special Edition's first moments? (Look carefully, above Rey to her left, at the end of this clip)

I like the fast running. I wish it was going fast in a vehicle but if it can't be a vehicle going fast then running fast is an acceptable substitute. Fast!

Outdoors running & jumping becomes running & jumping inside an old abandoned ship! Is it a dream or a vision, or a trick of editing in which Rey has similar hobbies at different times in her life?

Cross-fade from Rey to Finn, both looking serious. I hope this isn't Finn seeing Rey through his quadnoculars because if so J.J. has "crossed the line" and people will be angry at him for this.

More running with lightsaber! Is Rey running towards something, or away? Is she late? Maybe she is late for something on the other side of this jungle forest planet.

Lando! In the middle of this big group meeting. He is the only one who wore that specific shade of yellow. This is no accident, people know not to dress like Lando and try to copy his look.

Rose and these two people are facing the direction that everyone else is running from and there are blasters firing at them. A bunch of people will be angry about this even though it was fine when heroes behaved this way in the other movies.

Heroes stop and stare at the thing everyone else is running away from. In this case, possibly a ship aggressively rubbing up against the tops of the trees. If I was naming this ship I would call it an Imperial Tree Rubber

These two have a weird date on a wet old Death Star. They didn't specify a specific part to meet at, so she has been waiting and he has been wandering for a while. Both are annoyed.

This looks nice and they should sell snowglobes of this. Expensive, luxury deluxe snowglobes for collectors.

The Iron Throne but cooler because it is for Emperor Palpatine who is a White Walker. Everything is Star Wars now, including Game Of Thrones.

Are those Dark Side Energy Bolts?

The ships are all so WET in this movie. There should be a new character called Rick Splashmaker.

TOYS!!!

The best parts of Star Wars are always the parts that anyone could film in their apartment if they put in the work.

TO BE CLEAR: for all those who think they can do better, Star Wars cockpit scenes are easy to write, film & upload for all to judge. It's an easy way to show that you really DO know better.

Even if the acting or production design are weak, surely the writing will shine through!

Rey gives a half-blink and then a FULL blink, which is just what the moment demands. Finn does NOT blink.

Is this the first time C3PO has said it out loud? Because R2 is going NUTS.

BB-8 either setting off an explosive OR possibly murdering a droid who then explodes.

Everyone in Star Wars loved some explosions but hates other ones. It's all about context, which explosions a specific character prefers.

Lando and Chewie having fun. I hope they filmed long takes of this and release all of it online, just two friends having fun flying a ship together.

Ships fight, destiny, saga ending. We have been here before, but remember: all this stuff is supposed to be FUN. If you are too angry about it all the time, the problem might not be that they are making the space movies wrong.

I get a very "Cloud City" vibe from this decor. Who are these two ganging up on? How much of this movie is dream visions? I hope this is for a scene where Palpatine builds a scarecrow of himself to fool them and they fall for it.

John Williams' new music even sounds great in slow-mo.

You would think that the ppl who hate the new SW movies would be grateful to keep getting new John Williams SW scores. (Maybe some of them are, but they are not as vocal about it.)

Adam Driver does some of my favorite acting in all of Star Wars. It's like if 1970s Pacino or DeNiro was in a blockbuster and didn't hold anything back just bc it's a popcorn movie.

Rey is looking at something! Someone? What is it? Who is it? Jar-Jar? It could be anyone.
