Wandered over to see what was up at Breitbart. Saw "Soros Speaks" as a trending topic, clicked and found only 15 Breitbart stories covering Soros-related topics over the past 25 days. Normal media stuff. breitbart.com/tag/george-sor…
Things are also super calm and rational and not hysterical at all over on the "Social Justice" section of the website.
The "Entertainment" section offers a nice, light respite from the conservative victimhood narrative that saturates the rest of the website.
This is what Facebook wants to call "a trusted news source."
This is their entire masthead. From what I can tell, they do not actually employ any reporters. Like, people who do what we call journalism, or news reporting.
The site's mission seems to involve carefully curating a horrifyingly distorted (if not outright fabricated) version of reality so as to coddle and hopefully replicate credulous reactionaries. What a way to make a living.
Oops, forgot the screenshot of the masthead.
Check out their "about us" page though. Talk about sh*tting on your "social justice" cake and eating it too. Love to circulate antisemitic BS about Soros while claiming to love the joos.
And they are soooooo thirsty for approval from the "lamestream" media and political elites they claim to have rendered obsolete.
Your regular reminder that Breitbart's founder was a key disseminator of the antisemitic, "cultural Marxism" BS narrative that has become quite central to right wing culture in the US and around the world. vice.com/en_us/article/…
Here he is explaining that the "cultural Marxism" conspiracy theory is the most important thing he wanted people to get out of his book.
And oh hey, look. It's a sitting GOP Senator publishing an op-ed in Breitbart just today. This is like if Tip O'Neil had published a piece in the National Enquirer back in the 80s. breitbart.com/politics/2019/…
