Through Laser show, he thought he would gain a big amount of attention and appreciation, this invited backlashes from affected businesses in CP. A report of poor response was enough to hurt his ego. On the 25th night, the horrific scheme was made and put out for implementation.
Volunteers were given the task of lodging FIRs to suppress the Diwali. This resulted in 940 PCR calls, 371 cases lodged, and 260 arrested for celebrating Diwali.
Even after doing this, when they failed to suppress people from celebrating Diwali, they got confused and out of control. Sanjay Singh's statement is enough to show how mad they have got. As if Diwali is like Genocide and BJP has instigated it.
