This column by @juliacarriew criticizes some of my reporting on Facebook as too focused on the United States but you should read it because it is very good column.
@juliacarriew The central point of the column is that Facebook is defending its ad policy by touting the role of free speech in democracies but lots of Facebook users don't even live in democracies
This was actually a point that was raised by several of the people that I talked to in my reporting but I didn't get into it only because I am a one-person operation and have to focus my work or I would never get anything done
