According the US Transgender Survey, 1 in 3 transgender people has experienced homelessness in their lifetime; 1 in 8 experienced it in the last year. People can now be denied assistance from programs that receive federal funds without those programs losing funding. 10/
I should not be shocked by this news, but it hit me particularly hard today. Organizations receiving billions in taxpayer dollars can now decide not to serve "people like me" - and we're talking about important services pertaining to health and well-being. 11/
2020 is approaching - but not fast enough. Every single queer person and every ally should be outraged and should already be looking for their polling place.
