The story of ACRONYM started in Virginia in 2017. We knew then, as we do now, that early 💸 to reach voters online matters, and strong coordination can make a difference.

A huge reason why VA flipped this year is that so many organizations 1️⃣worked together, 2️⃣invested early and 3️⃣built smart infrastructure that will last between boom + bust election cycles.

This cycle, ACRONYM ran a Commonwealth-wide non-partisan voter registration program to bring more voters onto the rolls 🇺🇸, invested in local media infrastructure to keep voters informed 📰, and joined forces with the @vademocrats + to run a robust digital outreach program. 👩🏽‍💻

The @vademocrats, @DLCC + @DemRedistrict invested in the most competitive races leaving nothing to chance, groups like @RunforSomething inspired so many candidates to run in the first place + our friends at @swingleft drove grassroots support to candidates from across the country

@PrioritiesUSA and @EmilysList provided major resources in support of the party and candidates, including running digital persuasion + mobilization ads to drive turnout 💪🏻

Digital programs across the state would not have been possible without the incredible dedication and hustle of Christine Bachmann and @VaMatters! They produced incredible video content for candidates across VA + never stopped the hustle. 👊

Dozens of groups were🔑to securing these wins. @ProgressVA convened +coordinated programs across districts +so many others worked their 🍑s off to flip everything...@nextgenamerica bringin' that #youthvote, @terrymcauliffe raisin' that 💸+ @everytown @sister_district @hrc @ppact

But the most credit belongs to the voters of Virginia. While every💸, door 👊, 📱ad + conference 📞 mattered, the real heroes are the voters across the Commonwealth who organized, showed up + took back their statehouse. They're the ones who give us hope for the fights ahead💙
