If Mueller was referring to Manafort & Gates in the Stone indictment, and seemingly so, some observations:

1) If Manafort directed Gates to contact Stone about Wikileaks timing...
it's even more baffling that Mueller didn't charge them with felony campaign coordination...
2/ I explained first in the @nytimes soon after the Mueller report that Mueller found conspiracy but whiffed on campaign finance law of coordination:
"The Trump Campaign Conspired With the Russians. Mueller Proved It."

If Manafort asked Gates to use Stone to coordinate timing w/ WikiLeaks/Russia, the criminal case was more solid than I had thought:

I posted this thread last night about Barr's insane speech last night at @fedsoc.
Here are more points & links about Barr and how the right invented its "unitary executive" (misnomer) theory.

1. It strikes me as the ploy of a politician worried about his own criminal jeopardy...

Barr stole a page from Trump's playbook. Every time Trump has more criminal legal trouble, he goes to a rally & whips up the #MAGA base with insanely incendiary statements.

Barr is featured as a co-conspirator in the Trump-Zelensky transcript.
After this week, he's worried.
@FedSoc 3/ Trump mentions Barr 4 times in the transcript, about as often as Giuliani.

Each day we learn how open & explicit (& loud) Trump was about this extortion scheme.
It's implausible that Barr wasn't aware of Trump withholding arms.
If he knew, he is a criminal co-conspirator.

I encourage everyone to read Bill Barr’s viciously partisan speech to @FedSoc.

Its hackery and intellectual dishonesty is an utter embarrassment to the DOJ, @FedSoc, and to all of us (yes, me, too) who try to be intellectually honest about textualism & original public meaning.
Attack on the “dangerous” left:

Were Trump's tweets today criminal witness tampering?
Many made this claim, as did some in this @vox round-up.
In my contribution, I say this is a legal & political mistake.

@vox 3/ On the other hand, think about one of Mueller's worst mistakes.
Mueller explained that he avoided any clear conclusions about Trump's crimes because of (an overwrought) concern about fairness if a president couldn't be indicted & get his day in court to defend himself...

1 People are unfairly criticizing Mueller now. Keep in mind:
-He has information we don't have
-He & his team worked 90 hrs/week for 2 years
-He’s a patriot who is disgusted by Putin’s control of Trump
-The shutdown/pardon scenario was real
-He was blindsided by Barr's corruption
2 We don't know what Mueller knows & we don't know what was handed off to prosecutors & FBI. Barr's recent attempt to get info from intel agencies is a sign that much worse evidence is lurking. A CI investigation & this Vox analysis of Mueller report redactions is another sign.
3 Mueller may have expected Trump's actions in Vol 1 & the 10 crisply laid out obstruction cases in vol 2 to be enough to push Congress to act, while the secret info is so explosive, it has to wait. @tburages lays out the obstruction in a fantastic format:

#Manafort charging document for today's guilty plea includes details of his planting disinformation in US press to smear political rivals of his pro-Russia clients in Ukraine. Eg "Plant some stink on Tymo"—painting a female rival as a criminal who paid for murder. Sound familiar?
Manafort had used the same propaganda smear tactics in Ukraine that Trump rolled out in his campaign for president in 2016. Manafort not only had Tymo soliciting murder. He pushed tribal divisions, using "Obama Jews" & anti-Semitism to tarnish her. assets.documentcloud.org/documents/4883…
#Manafort manipulated the media with disinformation and then used those planted news stories to manipulate US govt: "I have someone pushing it on the NY Post. Bada bing bada boom…The Jewish community will take this out on Obama on election day if he does nothing.”

The problem is students and teachers treat teknik menjawab as some sort of pseudo magical ritualistic gestures that will bring a certain outcome. Draw a pentagram, slaughter a chicken, and your wish will be granted.
Some remote Pacific Islanders in 1940s came in contact with Allied and Japanese soldiers who were more technologically advanced and thought the soldiers were gods who had many "cargo" (canned food, electronics, modern stuff)
