Honestly, give me a fun, happy break set around Winter Solstice (which is also Feyre's birthday and she's like not mentioning that?)

Everyone's telling her to enjoy this time and she's still dealing with the stuff from other books.

Where we learn about female fae biology and not sure which is better actually.

Still props for SJM to drop that info into a novella. Because it's unexpected but still shows the feminine touch throughout the series.

I didn't bring the trilogy with me to NY (too heavy) but there was something Feyre mentioned at the end about Tamlin that really should be addressed about Rhys.

I've railed against Rhys' nonsense grudges before and they haven't gotten better?!

He still hates Lucien and Nesta on Feyre's behalf, even though Feyre has worked through her issues with them. And forgave them!

Rhys doesn't sink into the exact same hatred Tam does, but it's still not a great aspect of his personality.

(Also, he criticizes the fact that Lucien believes he will be accepted back into Spring Court and WHY WOULDN'T MY PRECIOUS BB WANT THAT? I didn't see any other court offer him safety after his brothers tried to kill him!)

Finally, I predict Rhys' next chapter will also be a horny one because he still got nothing! Bahahaha

Mor POV!!

Where we got more insight into what happened to her and ughhh her parents/Eris and his brothers

Lucien's too young to have been involved in that, though I am curious if the brother who was showing sympathy toward Mor is still alive.

But then we got to the part that's really bugging me: Tamlin.

Why are we so quick to believe that Eris is telling the truth here?

Yes, Tamlin's closest to the border, but though he rallied some troops for the war, we don't know how many survived.

Beron could have totally just trampled on through.

But why is Beron so interested in the human world?

It also doesn't fit Tamlin's characterization to just let Beron do it or any other court for that matter.

Tamlin also doesn't like Beron.

Really hoping this gets resolved because I'm not feeling this.

God, the Inner Circle really needs to stop taking on other people's grudges.

Feyre will not kill Tamlin. She has somewhat forgiven him for what she went through. He has made some amends.

I noticed it in the chapter before they visited the Court of Nightmares, but Feyre now seems to be the most well-adjusted character in the series and I'm so proud of her!

I really want her to make friends outside the Inner Circle. Especially artist friends. It would be so good for her.

(And ease my mind from the slightly toxic relationship she and Rhys have. It's VERY slight, but the signs are there)

While Feyre is definitely more well-adjusted than everyone else at the moment, I appreciate the exploration of her guilt involving the war and also how much she hates spending money even though she now has it

I need more scenes with her and Elain! They are great together!

And the vision she had for her future is so close to becoming reality!!!

Let's be real, this was always a Lucien stan account because Lucien truly came out of the gate as an awesome character and has only grown stronger with every book.

He is the smartest, most loyal, best friend, and deserves more respect!

Like the looks he gives Feyre sometimes. He has ALWAYS seen through her and I love it. That's why they're such a good team.

And he's 100% right about Rhys and Tamlin. They need to bury the hatchet for the future of the lands.

I really get it. *That thing* is such a mess and no, she shouldn't feel beholden to it, especially as she deals with these changes.

BUT Lucien is giving her so much space and not pushing her at all. He knows she doesn't want him and after everything *he's* been through, God, it breaks my heart.

I am curious as why Feyre is so upset that Lucien found another group of friends.

Every time I think I have Nesta figured out, it turns out I don't.

Feyre's life goals prior to all this was seeing her sisters happily married as she took care of their father and painted.

But what did Nesta want?

Nesta sometimes seemed to be okay with the limits of women in this society, but once Feyre left, it's like she started to rail against that in small ways.

Cassian is trying so hard to give her space, but also hates how she's treating her sisters. If she can't even bother to see Elain, what is the whole point of this?

I'm rambling. But there is so much that needs to be explored with Nesta. Because it doesn't make much sense.

Even the POV shift to her didn't reveal as much as I wanted. She's mostly just still broken from the war.

I'm mad I now don't know what Cassian bought her. Grrrr

While I feel like I have a good grasp on the characters, writing fan fiction of what I want to see most seems like Everest.
