Don't get me wrong, the U of M is a highly respected public institution with a very talented undefeated football team. I just find it a shame that they choose to be represented by a mascot with a lengthy record of violence against children
Full disclosure: my nephew recently graduated from the University of Minnesota, and a distant relative is a current member of the Gopher football team
