For months now we have been engaging the authorities on traffic management being the first agenda of the new @followlasg admin. I’m however proud to say that Mr Governor is responding & all relevant agencies are harmonizing efforts towards a reform. #EndGoSlow #KeepLagosMoving 🚔 
While we acknowledge the fact that there is a new sheriff in town we believe that holding authorities to account in service to the populace is sacrosanct thus the insistence on sanitizing the engagement of law enforcement officers, while public orientation is reinforced.
Government’s first responsibility is to ensure the roads are rehabilitated, drainages cleated, road markings and signages made visible and explained across platforms to ensure ease of operation & enforcement void of unconscionable belligerence, oppression & human rights abuses.
Dignity must also be ascribed to the uniform beginning in Lagos with officers conducting themselves with decorum and professionalism with minimal direct engagement with the populace, while ushering in an automated system that sanitizes traffic management in Lagos state.
The people must always win and in this regard we can not rule out the 85% human behavioral component in the traffic problems in our densely populated city. It is time to course correct and engage the dysfunctional culture of impunity by road users in a civil manner.
The New Face of LASTMA will make us all proud and most importantly our collaborative efforts as citizens and residents of Lagos towards sanitizing our commute within the municipality will yield fruit enough to create the needed ownership. #EndGoSlow #KeepLagosMoving 🚔
I have always maintained that people don’t do what you expect but that which you inspect. What you fail to evaluate, reward or punish will never be sustainably developed into a system that works progressively. It’ll take the buy-in of all of us. It’s time to take responsibility.
