This is the tenth anniversary of dissemination of Climategate emails. My first post at Climate Audit was simple: Words fail me. climateaudit.org/2009/11/19/cru… The comments are worth re-reading.

It was the vindictiveness and malice of so many climate scientist that shocked me the most
2/ at the time, Mosher and I speculated on whether the disquieting conduct resulted from "noble cause corruption" - that anything was justified in pursuit of their climate policy. He used this phrase in his e-book with Tom Fuller.
3/ over the years, I've tended to attribute less and less of the conduct to "noble" corruption and more and more to combinations of personal pettiness, arrogance, ambition and/or career advancement
