Several members of Congress are asking witnesses if they described *their own conduct* as criminal — ‘did you call it “bribery” while you did it?’ — which makes no sense.

People comitting crimes rarely bust themselves by announcing them, aka confessing, in real time.
That’s generally true in normal life - to say nothing of the highly lawyered, note-covered existence of federal officials.
But this line of questioning actually points to *relevant* evidence — even if accidentally — because witnesses have testified about “shadow” and “off the books” Ukraine plotting that may have been *designed* to avoid such notes and evidence - potential consciousness of guilt.
That was an implication of the Mueller Report’s accounts of Trump’s suspicious conduct — using *private* citizens in order route around government rules.

In other words, Jeff Sessions’s Lewandowski is Bill Taylor’s Sondland.
