The past three years since Brexit, while holding a panel of inquiry to account for its work, have been emotionally arduous in the extreme. My mother died as too in this period. 1/
The strongest emotions throughout this period have been anger and fear. Anger at the blatant lies being told in the public arena and, simultaneously at the damage that police lies done to my family's lives.

Lies, and the agendas of the powerful were everywhere I looked. 2/
Hence the fear. The parallels with the rise of Nazism and fascism in the 1930's were all too strong (and are still so) for me to feel any sense of ease or trust in what is going on around me.

I've already seen the British state act in very ugly, secretive and damaging ways. 3/
So Brexit, with its nasty xenophobia, islamophobia, we don't cooperate, we're too fucking clever undertones was repellent to me from the outset.

This, and the fact that I had spent 10 enriching years in Europe, and had a Swedish son. 4/
So I had, and still have real acute anxiety about the UK, my homeland.

I absolutely abhor much of what I see going on in the political arena and Brexit's links with Trump-Russia.

It's geopolitical insanity incited by fascist spivs and rich white supremacists. 5/
Underpinned by offshore press barons, a media mafia and a comfortable, privileged "cogniscenti" who collectively suppress or demote real questions in favour of utter fluff.

An ongoing tragicomedy of potentially hideous proportions 6/
Will we wake up from this madness?

'Tis a consummation devoutly to be wished" as Shakespeare wrote.

Goodnight! 7/
