📺 Nicola Sturgeon to Andrew Neil: "I want to stop Brexit, but I also want Scotland's future to be in Scotland's hands, which is why I would expect Jeremy Corbyn, in a minority Labour government, to respect the right of the people of Scotland to choose their own future."
NS: "I've set out the position about Scotland's future, but also ending austerity, getting rid of the misery of Universal Credit, more powers for the Scottish Parliament pending independence - these are all policies we would pursue."
NS: "I don't think it's reasonable for any Labour leader or any Westminster politician to say to the SNP, give us support, if they don't support that fundamental principle about Scotland having the right to choose our own future."
NS: "I won a mandate in 2016 in a Holyrood election for a second independence referendum. There's a principle at stake - whether there is a second referendum and what the timescale of that should be is not for Westminster to dictate."
NS: "I would never do anything to support a Conservative government in office."
NS: "Since 2016, I've tried very hard on behalf of people across Scotland to compromise. I was prepared to find a compromise around Scotland staying in the Single Market and Customs Union."

📈 A poll in August showed not only that a majority of Scots are backing independence, but also that a majority of Scots now back an independence referendum by 2021.

NS: "We've set out very clearly the conditions for moving to a separate currency, and the preparations that would be required to be made."
NS: "We would have a discussion with the EU about the journey an independent Scotland was on in terms of currency, and the accession, if Scotland was already out of the EU, to the point where we rejoined the EU."

NS: "Our exports to the EU are increasing. There is a benefit and an advantage to Scotland to grow our exports further."
NS: "When Ireland combined independence with membership of the EU, their exports to the EU grew, and they became more prosperous, that's the best of both worlds that I believe Scotland can attain."
NS: "I don't believe it was inevitable that we ended up in this position with Brexit. The mess it has become, the lack of clarity, and the lack of progress, wasn't inevitable."
NS: "In 2014, the detailed proposition was put to people in advance of the vote. That was not the case in Brexit."
NS: "Health services everywhere have challenges. We are not immune from that. But I believe we are doing the things required to fix those challenges and make sure we have the health service people expect. Patient satisfaction remains extremely high."
