ELECTION UPDATE

I’ve now received at least 5 reports from 3 constituencies that elderly voters being told by Conservative MP candidates that:

“Jeremy Corbyn will take your house away.”

Given that one of these is Ian Duncan-Smith’s seat I can only assume this is coordinated.
I’ve now reports from 4 constituencies on this.

If anyone has experience of an MP or Thore canvassing team using this with them feel free to contact/DM me. I’m happy to be as discrete as you want it to be.

Ian Austin & Downing Street in talks to give Austin a trade envoy position in 2020 as a reward for campaigning for the Conservatives in marginal constituencies.

The position would be paid.

This is in addition to a John Mann’s Quango position. And at least 4 other Labour MOs that are in talks with Downing St.

Uniquely the current govt is essentially buying up members of the opposition.

Understand that UK govt looking at expanding trade & FCO positions to reward other MOs post election including some who will be standing down in December.

We’re making a massive mistake to write off labour leave towns switching to Tories as merely a result of Corbyn or Brexit.

Poor southern whites in US don’t vote Republican due to a current Democratic candidate being too leftwing.
They vote as a consequence of massive propaganda

This isnt to say im pro Corbyn but rather that those people who “soft peddle” Brexit are making a massive mistake if they think once Corbyn gone & UK out of EU that somehow Labor voters radicalised by the rightwing Brexit process will simply flop back to Labour by themselves.

This is reason I decided to step up campaign for 2nd referendum even though it will be toxic.
Simply because if left & centre don’t buy into a post Brexit far right consensus that will be even more toxic.
But if we do, then UK is finished & Left & centre will have enabled it.

Had a DM - “what can I do to canvass - im shy”.

1. Identify a few people to speak to socially - you don’t have to knock on doors.

2. Don’t try too hard to “convert” people - in many elections non-voters more important to result than switchers. It’s enough if Tories stay home.

Best chats to have are with smart Tories & Leavers - who don’t ageee at first with you.

They’re more likely to change. It takes more effort to convince someone who’s argument is not rational than one who is.

Don’t argue: empathy + facts more important - in that order.

Try always to understand why people voted Leave/Johnson - see the logic in it.

Don’t use “you” use “us” as in “im so upset Johnson lied to us” not “don’t you think Johnson lied to you”.

Interesting.. a British tanker in the Persian Gulf has come to a complete stop. Would expect it to start heading south but as of now it's completely stopped.

Boat is the PACIFIC VOYAGER, image of the ship and it's location compared to Iran seen below.
Don't panic or anything, I'm going to monitor this until it makes another movement.
#UPDATE: Boat still stopped, it's status is officially stopped instead of underway using engine. It's at 0.5 knts as of now.
