Judge Hellerstein says he admits he hasn't much researched whether 15 or 20 year maximum applies to Counts 1 and 2 - or Counts 6 and 7. AUSA Bove questions why this is being raised now. Others might postpone this sentencing...
Judge Hellerstein announces he has already signed an order canceling Kourani's US naturalization. Kourani says he hasn't read US sentencing memo until today. His lawyer confirms. Postpone?
Kourani, before Judge Hellerstein sentences him, concludes, "You are sending the wrong message to the Lebanese people."
Judge H: It's not my job to send messages, it's to find a just punishment.
AUSA Bove: He praised #Hezbollah.

SENTENCE: For aiding #Hezbollah, Ali Kourani has just been sentenced to forty (40) years in prison by #SDNY Judge Hellerstein.

Kourani wants placement near Canadian border, to see his kids.
Judge Hellerstein declines.
Kourani will file appeal.

Just back to Press Room. Notably, Judge Englemayer told Alimehmeti that he would have gotten three years more if he had gone to trial and been found guilty.
(Judge Rakoff by contrast does not penalize defendant for going to trial, even for perjuring themselves)

HOWEVER May 6 was also 'martyrs day' so Facebook was flooded w/ old martyr posts making collecting accurate data very difficult.
7 of these deaths were #Tiger_Forces w/ 6 from #Taha_Regiment's Maskana Group and Omar Naqr Group (pic)

Jub Ahmar death was from #4th_Division, although I was told there were many other deaths here not reported on loyalist social media.

Before I started moving with Nigerians, I used to think all men are the same, but as I made friends with Nigerians, I noticed all men aren't. It was very obvious in fact. The may Nigerian men talk and act to ladies is absolutely remarkable.
At first I thought they behave that way just to woo ladies. Turns out I was wrong again. Over the years, I've come to notice how 9ja men treat ladies in their life(Mother, Sister, Wife/Girlfriend, daughter) with absolute respect I began to envy
