Mainstream media outlets have spent this year telling people that anyone other than white male candidates can't win. Yet somehow a candidate who is polling at 0% with Black voters, who has never received more than approx 11,000 votes, who has never won a statewide race is?

A recent piece tried to excuse Joe Biden's gaffes due to a childhood stutter that has never seemed to interfere with his dismissing the concerns of Black and Brown voters. What would be disqualifying for other candidates seems to be a non-issue for mediocre white men.
The standard for what is acceptable error/flaws by white male candidates needs to change. Media needs to actually grapple with the real complexity of billionaires buying access to an allegedly democratic process and the real-time failures of racist Mayors in the race.
