So the same people who tore the country to pieces in order to further their own careers and/or pursue a vision of Brexit whose consequences they had not considered or understood; who called their opponents ‘traitors’ and ‘Remoaners’; who said the EU was like Hitler;
who sacked civil servants offering advice that contradicted their political priorities; whose arrogance, hubris, dishonesty & inattention to detail led them to botch the negotiations with the EU; who bullied and threatened judges, parliament, and the media;
who called EU citizens ‘bargaining counters’ and invaders; who remained silent when they were physically and verbally abused by people using that same rhetoric; who ignored their own citizens living in the EU; who whipped up hatred and fear of migrants;
who lied, bullied, blustered, manipulated, deceived, twisted and evaded; who never once showed the slightest concern for the bitterness and anguish they engendered; who still have no idea how to get this nightmare process ‘done’;
who have made their country a grotesque laughing stock in the eyes of much of the world; who have initiated the breakup of the UK; who have allowed their country to become a populist laboratory & a Bannonite battering ram for the destruction of the EU;
- these same people have the mindboggling gall to talk of ‘healing’, ‘reconciliation’, ‘One Nation’ and ‘acknowledging the European sentiments of those who voted Remain.’
