This has been a persistent tactic and potent weapon in the hands of our enemies with national security implications which crippled our democracy since 2016. /3
Twitter deserves praise for this action but I recall a time on the internet when feature creating a public threat would be disabled. Now social networks can just mute those concerns. /4
If Twitter can't ensure their likes and retweet features wont become a national security threat, they probably shouldn't offer the features. Likes and RTs can become weapons against our first amendment rights. /5
Twitter also deserves credit for getting out of the political ad business. Facebook must do the same. Until we can figure out the massive threat to our way of life and national security these platforms present, we need legislation to curb what they are doing. /6
Instead of a fair playing field, Twitter is giving us a battlefield. /7
