Firstly, Sunrise has no north star that shines brighter than the #GreenNewDeal...
So if we endorse a candidate, it doesn't mean supporters of other candidates aren't welcome in our movement for the #GreenNewDeal.
It also doesn't mean we'll stop pushing all candidates to embrace our vision of the GND in a meaningful way, or uplifting their moments of advocacy

We will continue to uplift, criticize, and score candidates based on their vision and advocacy for the GND

An endorsement means that the majority of our movement's members sees one candidate as an electoral rallying point for our movement in service to the GND, sees them as a candidate we trust to steward, fight, and evangelize for the Green New Deal throughout this primary.
We ask that our members vote their conscience, that you see this vote as a way for us to hear your enthusiasm, for us to take marching orders from you.
This vote is an opportunity to tell us how you feel in your heart, who the right candidate to champion the GND is (if any)

This is not a knowledge test. This vote isn't just for those who feel the most informed, or the most involved in our political process. This is about representing the heart and soul of our movement, boldly and unapologetically. It's about wearing our values on our sleeves in 2020
We need you to vote in this endorsement process. We need to hear from our members because you are the leaders who have grown and will continue to grow the generational movement for the Green New Deal.
The power of our movement belongs to all of us, and it works best when we all believe in and exercise our power together. We hope we've designed a process that lets us decide collectively and democratically, and that many of our members will participate.
