But there has been no sustained rise in business investment. It went up a bit in 2018, but that was mainly fracking due to higher oil prices; and now it's basically back down to pre-cut levels 3/
But you know what has been boosting the economy? Government spending. Austerity was a big drag on the economy as long as a Dem was in the White House; it suddenly went away under Trump 4/
So the story of the Trump economy is that mostly it's a continuation of the Obama trend, but with the addition of politically weaponized Keynesianism: austerity for Dems, stimulus for Trump 5/
