We used to make "Stone Soup" at work just before paydays.

Somebody would bring in a giant pot, fill it with water and put it on to simmer early in the morning.

People who were flush added meat. Others added what they could afford.

Everyone ate a nutritious and tasty lunch.
I look at the Walmart heirs and the owners of Chevron, FedEx, Amazon and the many other corporations that made billions in profit but paid no taxes last year and I remember that soup.

At lunch, the meal was better than even the ones who could afford meat would have had alone.
That was one work place. This is one nation. We're all here together.

If we all do our best for each other, we'll all find that the soup is better than any of us could have created alone.
Asking the rich to pay a fair share so we can afford health care for all would mean decreasing their danger of being exposed to some infectious illness.

Paying their fair share towards education will give them a larger pool of educated employees to hire from.
Paying their fair share to the employees, in terms of wages and benefits, who make them so profitable will give them a work force that isn't absent because of money emergencies and is more loyal to the corporation.
At the very least, if they add what they can to the well-being of us all, they'll have people like me talking about how awesome they are instead of ranting on Twitter about the selfishness of making billions in profits while adding nothing to the soup that feeds us all.
