1. To everyone talking about #Benghazi, new investigations, etc - the idea to have one about Iran is just as stupid as it was to have one about Benghazi. (We will get into what will be the GOP's idiotic response down the thread.)

Yes, it points out the endless hypocrisy of GOP..
2..to *not* have an investigation, and to *not* make the Iran storming the scandal of the next few years. But there is absolutely no way that the democrats should act as irresponsibly and stupidly as the GOP did on Benghazi.

Now, the GOP will go "Oh, but the ambassador was...
3...killed at Benghazi" as if that is relevant to the underlying issues. A fire was set in Benghazi by the people who raided the mission. The ambassador died from smoke inhalation. Nothing prevented there being a fire set in Iraq embassy - it just wasnt set...,
4...now, notice the terminology. Benghazi was a mission, Iraq is an embassy. The Libyan embassy was in another location. The mission was on verge of being closed. The ambassador just happened to be there, instead of embassy, when the 9/11/2012 protests across Middle East began...
5...the next "OMIGOD!" GOP argument was that Susan Rice first said on 9/16 the attack was spontaneous, then changed on 9/17. On 9/16, CIA believed that Libyan attack was spontaneous, on 9/17, the video from mission cameras finally arrived, and they changed their assessment....
6...*that* was the "Benghazi* scandal. It was utter, utter bullshit.

What GOP did with Benghazi is this: They encouraged terrorist attacks by showing even minor attacks could upend USA politics, so long as dems were in office. More GOP anti-Americanism for political benefit..
7...what Benghazi and Iraq and Cairo et al attacks show is that the Middle East is a dangerous place for our Ambassadors, and we should admire their heroism, rather than tear them apart as GOP does for political benefit.

THAT is the lesson of the Iran attack, and how it truly...
8...exposes the anti-Americanism of the GOPs manufactured Benghazi scandal.

And I urge you, read this, which showed how the GOP was proclaiming "answers needed" when 9 reports - and even Wikipedia - had the answers they "needed" to justify more hearings. newsweek.com/benghazi-biops…
