Well, Canada, you heard it from @jkenney. We should focus on industrial GHGs, and Canada's GHG emissions inventory tells us that about 50% of those are in Alberta. I guess meeting our targets really is Alberta's responsibility. How should the federal govt make sure that happens?
Let's just imagine for one second @JustinTrudeau adopting @jkenney's view and placing a hard, declining cap on large industrial emissions sufficient to meet Canada's targets (the ones we adopted while @jkenney was in cabinet). If he did that, our Premier's head would explode.
Here's where large industrial emissions occur in Canada. More than 50% of them are in Alberta. Every other province has a larger share of their emissions coming from activities that Alberta's premier suggests we should leave alone whole focussing in reducing industrial GHGs.
