Accurate. I’m very likely pissing people off, but frankly I’m past the point of caring. Folks need to learn to not get so wounded & offended by things people SAY. I don’t care if someone says something rude—you don’t HAVE to get up in arms over it. Being rude is unpleasant, yeah—
But it’s not criminal. At least, it’s not meant to be. Unless you live in places like Berkeley, California—where you’re a goddamn criminal mastermind for still calling a fucking sewer entrance a “manhole” instead of “changing with the times” & calling it a “maintenance hole.”🤦♂️😑
Get a grip. Anyone who knows me fairly well can tell you that I am generally very accepting of pretty much all manner of people. I only see race in the most basic “skin pigmentation” sense. I don’t care who you’re attracted to (unless you’re into children—then we have a problem).
But something I will not do is be told how to talk. I never go out of my way to hurt or even attack anyone unless you hurt or disrespect others—especially if you wrong the people I hold dear. But I don’t go around shaming people—even if my recognition of LGBT stops after the “T.”
I’m still fairly tolerant even if I don’t fully recognize the additional letters. I still mostly keep quiet about it, and I never wish anyone harm unless they harm or attack others—then my belief in “eye for an eye” comes into effect. Treat others how you want to be treated.
So no, I will not be pushed around, and I have no patience for those who’d try to do so. And when I see it happening, you bet I’ll have something to say.
