Main motion is about how we can work together constructively to try & influence new government legislation to ensure it works in TH

For example, there is substantial new funding for life sciences promised in the Conservative manifesto. We have a new life sciences center in Whitechapel, let's work with the government to make it the best one in the UK

greater say on the style and design of development in their area" also need our collective input given our unique challenges in TH on both issues

Our 1st practical proposal "We should request that borrowing to invest in building much needed new Council homes & new infrastructure should be charged at a lower interest rate than borrowing to buy commercial properties to generate a financial return for local authorities"

Our 2nd motion is another attempt to discuss the serious issue of corruption by politicians in Tower Hamlets and how we discourage people who have committed fraud from becoming elected politicians here
