Trump's Soleimani airstrike is utterly righteous. Soleimani was one of the worst human beings on the planet. America had to re-establish deterrence after Obama's appeasement. This will not be the end of the story -- Iran will continue to lash out. But they're certainly on notice.
No one wants more -- least of all Trump. But the best way to prevent war with Iran is to stop them from regional aggression through restored deterrence -- not paying off the terrorists who are responsible for the deaths of hundreds of Americans so they can pursue more terror.
Watch for Iran to activate its terror groups further in Iraq, as well as against Saudi and Israeli targets. It's more likely they try to attack American interests and allies than Americans directly. That lets them save face while avoiding the harshest American blowback.
