The really frustrating part of the reaction over the last 2 days is, whether intentionally or not, it encourages Iranian action.

If they see a united front, they have no choice but to back off. But seeing people blame us for defending against their aggression encourages more.
When they see leading Presidential candidates parroting propoganda suggesting that taking out Soleimani was illegal or wrong, that shows them division they will think they can exploit. Let's hope they realize the consequences of further aggression will far exceed the rhetoric.
The way you get to war is miscalculation. You encourage such miscalculation by suggesting we are so scared of war and reluctant to engage them that there is no line they cannot cross because we will just take it.

I get that they have decided on this talking point, but it’s insanely silly. The Obama team constantly defended the nuclear deal by claiming it had nothing to do with Iran’s terrorist activities because it was indisputable those continued during the deal.
In fact, it was specifically because of the Iran deal that Iran had the leeway and funds to expand their support for terror groups throughout the Middle East. It’s what allowed Soleimani to travel around dictating attacks on Americans and innocents around the region.

Least surprising turn ever. Two of the most consistent themes among the Code Pink crowd are love for evil dictators and hatred of Jews.
A normal person might ask what a rally about potential US action related to Iran has to do with Israel, but the answer is self-evident.

I would love for these morally bankrupt idiots to face families of Americans Suleimani killed or even those of Iranians the regime has killed.
That person might also ask btw why a group of activists who claims to care about Palestinians are so sad about the US taking out a mass murderer responsible for starving/killing Palestinians in Syria and funding their oppression in Gaza, but again the answer is self-evident.

This will be covered as a retaliatory escalation because it will get more press, but these rocket attacks have been going on for months.

The only difference now is that we have shown such behavior will have consequences.

1/ A few observations on #bitcoin, #tether and #crypto regarding what happened in the last 30 days or so. $BTC $ETH
2/ Obviously we all saw that, despite the unwillingness of #tether to provide an audit, there now seems to be enough public or non-public information available to the NYAG for them to allege that $USDT were, at least for a time, not backed up with USD.
3/ Furthermore, the cited conversation between Oz and Merlin shows beyond reasonable doubt (to me) that the #bitfinex/#tether complex engaged in market manipulation to avoid what would be a black-swan event for them
