I tweeted one time that it doesn't make sense for the GENCOS to be operating without spinning reserves so as to be able to claim revenue for their nameplate capacity. Somehow, this behaviour changed, and there was a bit of stability managing the grids.

Since @EngrSMamman was made Power Minister, the grids collapse, even when birds land on them or wind change direction. Only God knows from which cave @MBuhari dug him out from. Firstly, he should drop d title Engr, as he isnt chartered. I'm interested in records of his induction.

Secondly @EngrSMamman knows next to nothing about power, its generation, transmission, distribution, Utilities administration or electricity pricing & regulations. I'm aware GENCOS have returned to running without spinning reserves, while the minister is embroiled petty politics.

Whatever informed @EngrSMamman's new transmission approach to continuously allotte power to DISCOS highly notorious for abruptly rejecting power will ruin all the gains of the new smart sub-stations. We are back to using mobile phone calls to manage load shedding. Are we not mad?

Until we revert to a smart grid system and roll out intelligent breakers, the national grid will continue to suffer from under frequency collapse, whenever generation dwindles in one section of the country. Brazil operates our type of grid. It doesn't collapse like cheeseballs.

Feelers I have are ominous. It portends @EngrSMamman will be a disaster as Power Minister. He's @GEJonathan's cousin, mentally.
Whoever recommended that @MBuhari should appoint this failed Technical College teacher into such a demanding position is an enemy of national progress.
