The continued growth in the US is not coming from inside the house - it's far more dangerous than that.
AFAICR in 2016, least 1/3 of the $ in the markets is foreign in origin, much originating from indiv/DIF from nations with not-totally-trustworthy track records (Saudis, etc).

If you want to take down the US's global dominance, a 1-2 punch seems like a solid strategy that everybody is overlooking
a) undermine our governmental institutions (Trump)
b) screw our economy (pump $ into the market to make Trump seem successful, then pull it all out at once )

*** I would REALLY love to see someone with a background in finance/economics address this topic - I don't have access to all the data I'd need to bear this out, and it would undoubtably be too late by the time I finish up.

@pdacosta @AliVelshi The other question I have: if this is part of a targeted economic warfare strategy that is, in part, linked to transnational criminal activity, could those transactions be estopped and funds and/or securities seized by the federal government under EO 13581 when the tx occurs?
IOW, are there any mechanisms that regulate repatriation, etc., of foreign investment to prevent something like this from happening?
