Did I miss something, or did @RepJasonCrow not mention the core, unfuzzy reason we provide military assistance to Ukraine -

when the USSR broke up, we took away Ukraine's biggest deterrence against Russian invasion -

WE TOOK AWAY UKRAINE'S NUCLEAR WEAPONS.

We did it for a good reason - to prevent the risk of the weapons from falling into the hands of terrorists and/or corrupt leaders that arise in power vacuums.

We destroyed their bunkers and launch sites.

We destroyed their bombers.

And somebody apparently thought it was a good idea to hand over all the tactical nuclear weapons to Russia.

So remember how after, WWII, we decided to take control of Japan's security if they didn't rebuild their army?

Because, it was, like, a threat?

Kind of like our arrangement in South Korea?

Yeah, that's what the arrangement with Ukraine was.

So, because the US and UK promised to both protect Ukraine's sovereignty in order to broker this deal, Ukraine gave up its nuclear weapons to protect the rest of the world from the risk of a young nation with a nuclear arsenal.

And even if they couldn't trust Russia, they could trust US.

So, in 3 years time, Ukraine went from having the third largest nuclear arsenal in the world to nothing.

Russia CLEARLY broke their promise to honor Ukraine's sovereignty.

Fast forward from the Russian invasion of Crimea:
Russia throws the US and UK into chaos via Trump and Brexit...

and gets the other signatories to start flaking too.

Russians like anniversarries, and July 25 is a pretty big day for Vladik.

Looking back at his tweets from that morning, I only see 3 or so that were clearly written by Trump's hand - including 2 a couple of minutes apart that say the same thing.

Since he hadn't been out of the residence that morning, it seems, & he wasn't tweeting:

WHAT WAS HE DOING?

Trump didn't read his brief or his script in advance...

WHAT WAS HE DOING from 6 - 9 am?
( or 0600 - 0830 ).

He wasn't watching Fox News, or he'd be tweeting.
He wasn't still gloating about the day beforehand...

WHAT WAS @realDonaldTrump DOING from 6 - 9 am?
( or 0600 - 0830 ).

He always parrots the last thing that was mentioned to him...
Did Putin happen to mention Crowdstrike by name?

So, in summary, journalists, PLEASE get conclusive evidence as to if there was a Trump-Putin phone call July 25 (or late July 24),

and everybody else - remember that WE took on the duty of protecting Ukraine from Russia when we took away their nuclear weapons.
