Thread on my journey to a meat-based diet.

1) In summer 2019 I changed my diet. Now I eat mostly meat, plus dairy products except milk. Sometimes I eat cooked vegetables, mostly when eating outside. I only drink water, coffee low on caffeine, and alcohol.

2) After I reached about 27, I started noticing my stomach is not able to process any junk I put in it. Once or twice per year, I would get a mild form of acute pancreatitis. I would get diarrhea if I drink cold Coke after a meal.
3) Then it became worse, I could have diarrhea without obvious reasons. In general, the consistency of my stool was getting softer and softer. I also started noticing weird red dots on my legs, correlating with diarrhea and other stomach issues.
4) And then the day came. I had diarrhea a few times and stopped eating to let my stomach rest. The next day I tried to eat and it all went out of me 10 minutes after. And it continued for 7 days.

Even water, I had diarrhea 5 minutes after I drink pure water, no kidding.
5) I went to a doctor, she gave me the list of drugs, and gave me a diet instruction: nothing fat, nothing fried, only raw or boiled.

I started that diet and drugs, I also visited another doctor and she gave me the same list of drugs and advice on diet.
6) Stomach problems kind of stopped, but I was still scared. I am only 33 and my stomach gives me so much trouble, it's not okay.

So I started my research, reading people on Twitter, listening to podcasts, looking at scientific research on the topic.
7) After a week of research, I stopped my diet prescribed by doctors. I did the opposite actually. I started to only eat fried fat meat. Steaks and patties every day, cheeses, cream, sometimes salmon steaks.
8) It was weird in the beginning to eat half a kilo (one pound) of meat on a single meal, but I adapted quickly. Soon I started to feel better and better.
9) I was quickly recovering, and I started experimenting with adding some food back. I ate peanuts and got diarrhea. I tried figs, after a few days of eating them I also got diarrhea.
10) After some trial and error, I found that my main source of trouble was fiber. Anything with fiber, especially with solid seeds, would give me diarrhea.

I also tried eating cakes for a few days and also got some issues, though not as severe as with fiber.
11) The amazing thing about a healthy diet is, when you eat something that is not good for you, you feel it very clearly.

Usually, when you eat crap food, you feel "fine" on average. But when you eat good food and are actually fine, you immediately feel if something is wrong.
12) Other than fiber, sugars, and refined carbohydrates, I also stopped eating seed oils, I only use olive oil, butter, and tallow now.

I don't eat fruits, because they are basically candies growing on trees. Research insulin resistance and diabetes if you are interested.
13) Side effects. After 3 months on diet, I started losing hair like hell, it was a bit scary. But then it stopped completely and now I am back to normal.

Also, I had constipation at some point, but it lasted for only a couple of weeks.
14) It's 7 months now since I am on this diet. I still feel great, I only had diarrhea a couple of times and I know exactly what caused it.

I am very happy I didn't listen to doctors and did my own research.
15) I want to thank these people who influenced my diet:

@KetoAurelius
@GuruAnaerobic
