As you probably noticed, this is very old news (from 2017). Sekulow and Trump also share an impressive ability to avoid any sort of accountability for their fishy dealings.

Can you imagine how nervous all of the GOP senators and Trump handlers are these days that he's gonna open his big mouth (or send a tweet) and unknowingly incriminate himself?
Ok, as many have pointed out, he's done this already. Which is true...but I mean even *more* so and more specifically. Like, "why should Pence go to the inauguration when they were dragging their feet on the Hunter Biden thing?"
I guess what I had in mind is this. I think Trump truly thinks he has done nothing wrong, or is incapable of distinguishing between what he did that may have been right or wrong. So he might just blurt something out like "why should they get the aid if they won't get Hunter?"

I just read the phrase "the tyranny of relativism" used unironically. Hate those f-cking tyrannical relativists. How DARE THEY honor my right to hold a set of beliefs they don't also share?!?!?
The writer who used that phrase unironically is also, you'll be surprised to hear, very concerned about the decline of civility in modern society and wishes the dominant culture was more tolerant of people like themselves.
Because, you see, the think you've got to understand is that today's campuses are filled with moral relativists who are also Puritanical scolds who want to impose their strict moral code on everyone else, in the name of relativism. Got it?

Modern American conservatives: American civilization is the crowning achievement in world history. And also, American civilization is deeply sick and diseased, and is on the brink of collapse unless it undergoes a massive political, social, and spiritual transformation.
More and more I'm coming to see edgelord, apocalyptic hyperbole as one of the defining features of American conservatism. Like, without that rhetorical bombast, it would have to be content just being a fairly uninteresting and predictable participant in a public conversation.
I also forgot to add that according to modern American conservatives, anyone on the left who thinks America is in need of a fundamental political, social, and spiritual transformation is either a nefarious commie or a stupid hippie.
