This opens up an explanation of why the WH was worried about the transcript being tampered with. As we know Vindman admitted to tampering with the April transcript. He also wanted to change the word "company" to "Burisma" in the July 25th transcript.
But more importantly, it leads back to Comey's memo from 2/8/17. Comey documented that someone had leaked transcripts of the President's phone calls with 2 foreign leaders. But also that the leaked transcripts were not accurate according to WH officials.
The primary defense for wanted to stop tampering with & leaking of the transcript, is because nefarious actors were attempting to edit the transcript then leak it. Something they were doing in the first weeks of Trump's presidency.
So again on 2/14/17, Comey made a contemporaneous document showing that someone was falsely editing the transcripts of the president's calls with foreign leaders. Then leaking the false transcripts.

Secondly, they show ABC reporting that this was standard in the Trump Admin since someone leaked the 2 transcripts I describe above.
It's almost like Comey wrote his memos to serve as evidence to help Trump in this impeachment 2 years later!
